Well, after several years as a hobby photographer I've decided to take my passion for photography and move into the professional realm. It's been quite the journey thus far, especially the last six months. Countless hours of learning and studying various editing techniques, making new friends and asking advice from those that have been doing this for what seems like forever.
I definitely am excited, but also a bit tired. It's a lot of work moving from the hobby side. You go from editing for yourself and your family to editing for complete strangers. You have to be even more mindful of how you photograph and also the way you finish their photos. There is definitely a sense a pride there each time I deliver a finished session to a client. To see someone happy with the way you captured their memories for them, it makes all the work worth it!
